Lots of winners out there. . .too many to count. I especially like our value play, CPWR, I believe originally called by American Spirit. . .the beauty of value plays when they are at their lows and turning north is that you can invest a larger amount of money in them with less worry than the more volatile high fliers. I know I did. . .and am very happy with the move on the IBM buyout rumor.

Another is MRVC. The fibre optic CMGI is finally getting noticed by the street. There was a pretty significant article about them in the 21st Century Investor, claiming a double of money over the next year. . .and discussing the many Fibre Optic sector IPOs MRVC has in its stable of holdings.

Speaking of FO. . .Corning has been knocking on the door of $300 all day. . . I've seen this before. . . it flirts with $300. . until all resistance is gone. . .then bursts through for about 9 more points. VECO is another big FO stock that has made a 10% move today.

SNDK is another tech that has been making nice gains today, yet still has a PE of 23. NVLS is another in the same category.

ATHM made a significant move on more T rumors of buyout. . .remember that rumors are the only thing that has ever moved ATHM, it seems. And only the tiniest percentage of them are actually true. Welcome to Wall Street, where rumors pushes stocks up. . . and the public and legal release of the news drives them back down. >smirk<

All in all things look good. Now where do we go from here?

The Dow has been an anchor to the Naz. . .holding it from nearing the 4000 mark. PPI is out of the way. . .manipulation seems to be not as big a factor as earlier in the month. . .[unless you track the upside down ML squeeze]. . .FOMC is too far away. . .so is election. . . .oil/natural gas are still important market movers. . . but it appears that TA is important today for determining direction.
