I love the downloaded versions. I can burn a CD with 20 or more downloaded software packages instead of having a pile of CD's.

Some of the programs I have bought on-line and downloaded over the last year:

Norton Utilities 2000
Norton AntiVirus
Winfax
PC Anywhere
Drive Image 2.0
Drive Image 3.02 (upgrade)
Adobe GoLive
MultiMedia Biulder
Audio Cataylist

Many many others, too many to list.

I made a back-up CD just in case the one I burned gets damaged. It's very rare that I will buy a packaged version, and the manuals are thrown out...I don't read manuals. The help files in the program or on-line are easier to use, IMO.

I found out what the message was from tech support re:DI 3.02, it was meant for WindowsNT, just happens to pop up when restoring an image.
