Who cares what someone else's cost base - if you liked it above $100, then you have to love it here!!

We are well past the point of worrying about volatility - there is none!! This stock has been flatlining for 8 to 12 weeks now. You have an equal chance of risk by not being in the stock if you are really positive about the company and its technology.

With a 45 PE for next year, this stock is butt cheap compared to most of the other big cap tech stocks. Unfortunately, QCOM is being lumped with the whole telecom sector right now. At the current values, I like telecom alot better than fiber, storage, or any of the other hot areas of technology.

With royalties set to increase 500% between now and 2005, QCOm has a compounded growth rate around 37%. If the other business grow at the same rate, revenues for ASICS would grow from $3 billion to $13 billion over the same period. Not too shabby.
