Neocon gave an upbeat meaning about the phrase CC. But that's not the impression I got coming off Dubya's mouth. It seemed more like,
"OK now we are an elite party, let us let some other guys come in and we will be compassionate to them."
Hence it seemed condescending to me. Moreover the republican party role towards minorities and many other groups (all photo ops and no meaningful representation) during the convention seemed to accentuate that belief in me.

I think Bush campaign needs outside help. RATS commercial wasted their valuable 2 days right before olympics. This impression will stay in publics mind for long.

RATS

Jerry Della Femina had a piece in the WSJ (Page A26) today and suggested the Republicans declare it was "intentional" and more was to come. Then voters would be challenged to view commercials to find the "hidden message". The one who found the most messages would become a cabinet member.

As someone who spent most of his life in advertising, he insisted it does not work, nor does it exist. If it did, the weak-minded, who are capable of being hypnotized by a single word, would be just as likely to attribute it to Bush and Cheney, who were paying for the ad.

He finished with this little ditty

"Republicans don't practice skullduggery.
All our ads are honest.
Tricks and treachery are not our thing.
So ignore this subliminal message."
