Timna is supposed to be ultra cheap to manufacture, but not necessarily ultra low end. A sealed Timna based PC with RDRAM (not RIMMS) would be manufactured very cheap by the likes of Samsung.

By delaying Timna until RDRAM is cheaper, Intel can do away entirely with the need for an SDRAM translator entirely. Of course, in that scenario, Celeron's life would have to be extended.
