Yes, there are some out here in LA. A friend taught in one after teaching for years in Juvenile facilities. Somewhat similar to charters and look like they are big in Florida and North Carolina. De-segregration seems to be one theme.

Duke, They are working "magic" in Florida, My son has his two daughters in Rochelle Academy...School of Arts. and it
is unbelievable how much better they are doing than they
did on regular Public Schools.
