Many more reports. Does this bode well for EMC? Do you know how many of their databases reside on EMC storage?
Are the stocks linked in any way?

A few months ago Oracle indicated that they were close to matching EMC's customer base on a one to one basis and were already on a one to one basis with Cisco's customer base. As you know, these 3 companies formed an alliance called Ecostructure initiative earlier this year. Here's a link to the Ecostructure website:

eecostructure.com

There's a lot fine-grained information inside the site about the products from all three companies. For example, there's a Symmetrix/Oracle user guide on that site that shows how DBAs (database administrators) can squeeze out up to 30-40% more performance out of a data warehouse using tools like the Database Tuner that EMC sells as part of ControlCenter.

As for EMC, this is a blurb from the MF:

Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown reiterates STRONG BUY rating after speaking with CEO Mike Rutgers and believes that the near-term opportunities are huge and that business remains strong with an anticipated move towards storage networking which is expected to increase future revenues and gross margins; anticipate upside to both top-and-bottom line estimates for Q3.
