Hi Harvey A.,

Thanks for posting Harvey. That HSDRAM review is pretty consistent with the raves RMTR has always gotten for their DRAM design work. Its good to see that they are now getting the "mind share" from Techies all over the globe to go with it.

But I found this bit really interesting:

...I think, if Intel is smart they will use HSDRAM because it is much cheaper and more widely supported compared to RAMBUS. Other chipset manufactures such as VIA and AMD will probably use a different kind of memory system called Quad Data Rate RAM (which is four times the speed of SDR RAM) which might be used for soon to be released AMD processors such as the Sledgehammer and Corvette, so if your an AMD man Mushkin's PC150 RAM probably won't interest you too much now I've said that.

First of all I think we have seen that, although INTC may be smart, their corporate IQ has been offset by an attack of "blurred vision" and in my view VIA and AMD aren't going to bet their soon to be released designs on QDDR, a/k/a DDR-II?, which is not in production. I would bet that most folks buying HSDRAM in the next 8 months will be matching it to AMD T-Bird Mboards.

I know that's what I'll be doing if I upgrade any PC in that period.
