As I go down the list of the Gorillas we love, MSFT, INTC, CSCO, and Q, the earnings have driven the stock. Same for SUNW, and ORCL. The earnings report in April of '99 for Q was the basis for the explosion in the stock. It was the best quarterly report that any of us had ever read.

I would be very careful in buying companies with low or no earnings, no matter what the potential. One of my early rules was, only buy companies with earnings!

I have since bought companies with lots of Gorilla potential, and no earnings yet, and regretted it later.
