IBM may have it's reason for not wanting to embarrass Intel. What the reason is, I don't know. I was surprised that IBM went along with the charade of releasing systems based on non-existent 1+ GHz Piii chips.

Intel and IBM go way back.... Are the pc's business computers that IBM is selling with Athlons inside?
