<<I would like to suggest that you look into two companies that may be suitable for the portfolio. These are picks and shovels types of companies, and they are DGEN and LEXG. Both have solid technology. I realize that most of the portfolio companies are drug discovery companies and/or get downstream royalties on any marketed products. These are somewhat different in that regard.>>

Jim, at least in the case of LEXG, they're quickly moving downstream into drug development. Its press release of yesterday regarding utilizing affx gene chips highlights a few ares of focus internally, mainly oncology related. The recent ABGX deal points to an internal development platform as well. I liken their business model to ABGX, partner up the core technology for royalties while in parallel leverage into internal drug development. This will ultimately create a much more valuable company imo.

Old buy MLNM partner strategy at work again.

I like LEXG and do not have an opinion on DGEN. What do you suggest as an entry point for LEXG.
