I think Bush needs our help. Let's craft a dumbed-down way to explain his awesome tax plan. How about: "If you make $35,000 or less, I'm WAIVING federal income taxes for you. You pay nothing!" And: "If you make $50,000, I'm WAIVING half your taxes." And: "Gore's plan keeps milking the poor and middle class, while my plan WAIVES federal income taxes."

I agree. It is a statistical tie as of now. Debates will be the deciding factor. Bush does not show hunger for presidency, Gore does. You can see it in the work ethic of both individuals. It shows in the willingness to master all details for the work ahead. It shows in courage and conviction to stand up against your own. It shows in the sense of responsiblity for the job ahead. Even George Will feels that after 8 years, if it is just character issues that Dubya is running against then there is nothing much for him to be able to win.
