Quake 3 is also 3DNow optimized but due to a bug(?!) it only uses some routines for sound which don't give any big improvements. Much more significant is IMO that X-Box is using a P3 with SSE. I expect virtually all X-Box games will be optimized for the instructions -- pc games will follow. Bottom line: We need SSE in Athlon (or Palomino) ASAP.
