Re short interest, I think you'll have to wait a bit longer for the Sept. numbers. From the NASDAQ site:

'Firms are required to report their short positions as of settlement on the 15th of each month. A compilation is published eight business days after.'

Short interest for September is not announced publicly until the 25th or so.

14 days to cover as of 8-15, a number even higher than in October 1999, immediately before the last run-up. Was that last run-up a short squeeze? I hate short squeezes because they may deaden a stock to subsequent good news.
