thanks Bob, which would mean that about one third of an XAU point was lopped off yesterday due to PD's $1.875 loss. It is not as if a major came out with poor earnings.

Bob, could you please post a link to the PM index which you had created awhile back. Perhaps it would be a good idea to show your index chart on the goldsheet home page instead of the XAU index.
