<He noted that while the high price of oil has yet to filter into core inflation, as evidenced by Friday's benign government report on August consumer prices, ``ultimately it will, and inflation wreaks havoc on long bonds.''>

Doesnt' he know that oil will plummet before it has any effect??

``Oil prices filter into the economy in terms of higher inflation ultimately,'' Gross told CNBC.

Bill Gross apparently not buying into the ClownSpeak du jour that energy does not matter in the new economy. Nice to see that someone has the balls to go on CNBS and say the BLS stats are wrong.

Of course, as per usual, airing such realistic views on BubbleVision means they won't invite him back for some time. CNBS is like that western song, "...where never is heard, a discouraging word, and the Clowns stay happy all day."
