t2, I think this September decline was much anticipated and pre-strategized. Hope you are right that there is a lot more money on sidelines now waiting to buy at the right time. At any rate, seems we're getting used to these wild swings. I've burned myself by trying to trade in and out of JDSU time and again. Over the past eighteen months initial buy and hold would have been pretty decent, as others have indicated on the thread. Now only holding for long haul - three years and beyond does not seem like an unreasonable time horizon. JDSU needs time to digest it's explosive growth - positive earnings going forward as result of all the acquisitions can only lead to steady long term appreciation IMHO.
