Jim,

Isn't JEDEC trying to create more, new, standards?

For the memory business, all the Dram manufacturers (the Dramurai, all of whom are members of JEDEC) started the Advanced DRAM Technology consortium last January. They are expected to be the entity that brings the next non-Rambus-infringing memory technology to the industry. So the schedule in the previous message is their expectation of the implementation schedule.

Also, Intel was an original member, but I believe they've dropped out. And now 3 or 4 of the ADT members have signed licensing agreements with Rambus re: SDRAM and DDR.
