Can you be more specific? The woes of Gold cannot be blamed solely on Clinton/Gore. The fundamentals have been awful. The CB's have sold Gold and leased it because it has been a bad investment. This is not to say that "New Era" will last indefinitely. There will always be different "New Era's". Nothing lasts forever.

Richard, Recently on this thread was a discussion about the ability of the sole world military power USA to walk the talk. My view is that any walk taken will result in a quick and very embarrassingly stumble for prez ClinSin just as his LambDuckie tour of duty as Commander in Chief of the military of the USA, of which he did a coward's dance off the floor while others like him with government service aspirations did not wiggle out of the Vietnam 1 year tour of required draft duty, so it follows that his planned trip to Vietnam to me makes me puck with shame towards the prez office. But back to my wondering here Richard, what do you think would happen if at the same times for example day 1 = Iraq threatens Kuwait requiring usa troop buildup day 2 = China moves towards Taiwan in a direct military manner My answer is that even if the usa wanted to defend Taiwan at the same time as defending Kuwait, it could not. Could be an easy way for China to obtain what "is theirs" in their eyes, and an easy way for the usa not to send off to a REAL war its men and woman to DIE Big Time, as the gulf war and balkens war were not "wars" where large numbers of usa troops on land & air & sea will encounter a REAL enemy military force of China that will kick @ss as strongly as the usa can. This assumes no nukes used on either side. Just a foot note, what if on day 3 India & Pakistan went to war, as the side un-protected by the usa may take that opportunity also. Forget stars and moons lining up, these events with the oil and gold and usa vp prez to elect.... dougak
