Posters develop a reputation on SI, and other sites, based on the truth of their posts. Do people mislead on the Internet? Sure. Should you believe everything you read? Or that is posted? Certainly not. But, I believe one can learn (to some extent) whom one can trust, and whom one cannot trust. Your tiring discussion about people posting behind aliases is getting old because, A: Some people prefer to remain anonymous because there are so many crazy people that would use any excuse to do harm to them or their family. B: Some very prolific present SI posters have elected to change their screen names from their real names to aliases for the above and other reasons. C: Who gives a chit? Now, concerning developing a reputation, and maintaining it. I have read thousands of posts on SI, have tracked the prices of the equities following the postings, and have a fairly good feeling about who I can trust and who I can't. I am still not saying I trade based on what I read without a number of other forms of DD to back the poster, but the poster offers food for thought and a starting point. Another brief point, and this will, (hopefully) be my last post on this subject. You post as Dale Baker. I assume that is your real name. Who knows? Your real name could be Baker Dale. Who cares? My handle is bullrider. Would my posts be more valuable if I signed them Bull Z. Rider? With all of the different cultures trading messages on the Internet, would you call me a liar for posting that name? It could be a perfectly legitimate translation of a foreign name. Again, who cares? My real name is Phil. My handle is bullrider. I don't lie. They are facts. That's all you need to know. Have fun, Phil
