frontrunning means that.

you first take a position.
Then you put out a public recommendation to do the same....
and then you close the position with a more or less riskless gain while the dumb money crowd follows you.

(Besides that, online scam spotters are often insulted by the front runner...)

A common habit of self proclaimed "gurus" on yahoodle, Ragingball and Silicon Incestor.

(Tokyo Joe has been accused of doing that..., he and his inner circle bought stock in a concentrated way but flipped when the price soared and other people began bidding up the stock...)

The correct definition is however: Knowingly taking a position ahead of a customer order which influences the market because of its size...
