<< i'm glad that the thin client is all you will ever want or need >>

How is it possible that some people don't want local storage? I just don't get it. Why would they not want it? These people are from some kind of alternative universe that I'm not familiar with.

If I'm on a business trip and I want to work on a spreadsheet or presentation while I'm on the plane, how would I do this without a hard drive? How would I play a video game if I didn't have storage? How would I look at photographs if I couldn't store them on my computer.

What are the benefits of this 'thin client' other than saving the cost of a hard drive?

Dave

Andy- Netscape was killed in the crib. A lot of other viable technologies like thin client and Java are slowly being starved. The trial was meant to correct this. After it's resolution the local Bells will get into thin client in a big way. In a few years your PC will look as quaint as a vacuum tube radio.
