>>On a panel on wireless, one of the panelists (Andrew Aeybold, editor of the Seybold Wireless Report) asked Klein Gilhausen, (VP engineering, Qualcomm) whether it was true that a major US wireless network currently using TDMA would be announcing a switchover to Qualcomm's CDMA in the next 60 days. <<

Now you got me nervous. Maybe I better close out my AT&T short position, and it was doing so well.

Dear KM: Thanks for the commentary.

About this:

"Dave says Gilhausen "just sat there and smiled." "

One can read this as giving an answer of, "Yes." It can also mean, "Don't we wish [read: no]."

Time will obviously tell.

Regards,

Lynn

If true, don't bet on T/AWE. They aren't the only big TDMA operator in the U.S.

Hint: South America.
