Yes, the minimum wage is not a number in a vacuum. It reflects the cost of living increases as time passes by.

I've never seen any hard data (or soft data) that indicates raising the minimum wage results in wage "inflation" across the board...(and I've looked.) Employers like to make that claim. IMHO it is just a belief or generalized fear.

In fact I posted a query earlier today asking if anyone had seen such a study.

If you find anything I certainly like to look at it. Please post.
