Personally, I avoid posting entire articles, except if they are obviously advertising intended to achieve as wide an audience as possible. But it is clear that TheRegister intends its articles as a way of getting people to click on its website, and thereby be exposed to the advertisers there, so I would hesitate to copy their articles in their entirety, it's theRegister's bread and butter. Since people around here have recently been posting all the mainstream news, whether pro or con, rather than only RMBS favorable articles, I have quit posting quotes and links for mainstream articles. Why should I, when Don Green, for instance, is going to copy the whole thing in within an hour or two anyway? But if we have to return to only posting links to a few choice quotes, I will also return to posting links to articles. A bit of a shame, since it means an increase in the wasted bandwidth of the thread, but IP is IP. -- Carl
