hi franco,

i saw too many five punch flurries thrown by castillo without a single punch thrown in return by johnston. castillo was working beautiful inside, digging the body and coming back over top with never-ending precision. johnston needed to finish strong, but instead castillo took both of the final 'championship' rounds. (btw, remember when the championship rounds meant 10 thru 15?) stevie was hanging on at the end of round eleven and ditto for round 12. besides, what about the old boxing axiom that you have to take a champion's belt, meaning beat him a little more decisively than in a non-title fight?

by no means, though, do i think the decision was any sort of grave injustice. castillo was in command through the whole darn fight, save for maybe two times, and i don't even mean two rounds.

razor close? i guess. but if i'm castillo i know i was robbed, and if i'm johnston, i know i had help.

:)
