While riding in a bus up the mountainside on the way to Machu Picchu I was talking with a guy who owns a telecom consulting company. When we got off the bus I asked him if he provides consulting services to AT&T. He does. I explained that I thought AT&T was making a huge strategic mistake in staying with TDMA and hoped for his sake that he wasn't advising them to do so. He also just stood there and smiled, hugely so.
