I plotted your data (monthly rate by quarter for each category) and it provides some level of a rational trend.... namely that the erosion is now least in the small drives, most in the large drives following the reverse condition in Q2. I interpret this as reflecting the impact of 15GB platters. The coming 20gb platters will likely raise small drive erosion once again, and if they don't I'm a lousy interpreter.

I'm not sure I want to bring this up, but at some point the categories will need to change to 15gb, 15-30gb, and >30gb....or something like that. No doubt some idiot will ask you to recalculate the history on that basis, but not I :o)
