Lee, thanks for the welcome.
I've been lurking here for a while now and greatly appreciate Silicon Investor. I owe much of my success investing to you all. It's pretty amazing how much information you can get here and the rest of the internet. I'm kind of fed up with the yahoo boards, but despite the riff-raff and spam, it's still interesting to read between the lines, separate the wheat from the chaff, and get a pretty good picture of what's going on out there.
If you really want to get the facts, you go to SI...

Some of those "read between the lines" vibes that I've received are the coming explosion of internet appliances, devices, gadgets, information on anything, anytime, anywhere, for anybody. It's not just the internet of a bunch of wires and routers anymore. It's fiber optics, lasers, CDMA wireless, anything to get bits from one place to another snatching them out of the ether as if they are everywhere and free. It's the coming ubiquitousness of It all. (note the capital "I" of "It". Have you visited the QCOM thread and read Maurice Winn? If not, I recommend you do.)

As a lurker, I've been profoundly affected by Maurice, Allen Benn and George Gilder.

Peace on PlanetGranite
