I have these simple thoughts on options as plays for the common swings:

1. Wait until it goes hard the other way. If it does not, then likely the leverage is just not there.

2. Buy them between the money and the next test you esteem likely in the common. What I mean is, don't make a habit of being long the BK move.

3. Buy them as far as out as you can reasonably afford.

4. As soon as a contract will cover your cost, unload one contract. (This presumes you have more than one contract.)

These are simple thoughts. Others who grace this den of thugs are more versed in the vagaries of these instruments.

(I happen to agree that the 80's are the most tempting.)
