Thank you for the link.

Just hit all the + signs in the Device Manager & there aren't any yellow exclamation marks. Phew, those are usually bad news.

My Windows terminology may not be quite precise <g> So when I say scrolling speed, I mean scrolling from top to bottom (or side to side) of a page in an open window by hitting the up or down arrow with the mouse pointer - either a steady pressure or intermittently. If I try the steady pressure, the page crawls down in labored waves of replenishing text. It didn't used to do this & doesn't on the older computer.

I have tried every refresh rate offered for the screen. Also the mouse adjustment just changes the response-time of the mouse to the movement of your hand (which shouldn't be too fast).

Going to take a break here & go off to dinner. I'll de-install the RamBooster when I get back.
