As Judith noted earlier, you painted a convincing picture. Perhaps, it will play out as you described. Discussing it with others should bring out valuable information on both sides of a bull/bear debate. Your post got me to think a little harder about being prepared for a bear to bite me. I believe you have plenty to share & encourage you to go for it more often. FWIW, here are a few quick thoughts.... One or two events turning against the economy & we could see a bear market. I just don't see it playing out that way. I don't see oil being the problem unless there is a near term event to cut supplies even for a short while. Please see my thoughts on the oil situation here..... (forgive the sarcasm in the opening paragraph - oof) Message 14394241 I believe that the market is still churning along fine & tech leaders will continue to grow nicely, all things being equal. BTW, if we are in a bear correction, my take is we are in the denial phase.... at least I am :-o.... I think the fear phase was part of the Mar/Apr leg down & ran it's course early Aug.... Me thinks that we are in the denial phase now during this leg down.... as those with a bullish stance are looking for the market to run soon. Gotta run.... we deck brushed our porch today.... dinner is here now ;-) oof I'm sore....
