Scumbria,
RE:"Obviously that is the long term problem. We better have an answer when it hits for real."

Riot police? Stock markets won't like it.
We have no answer except...make do with less. Political suicide. I feel sorry for the next President. Clinton is leaving a hot potato. More often the next President gets the blame for the seeds of the last one...

Inflation and now tempers seem to be heating up.
I said many times here that oil prices weren't coming down, over the last 6 months. People we're like sheep to believe Clinton could talk to OPEC and get them to lower them. Or even blame the oil companies.
Not good for most markets. It's a shame Clinton helped it along with a major tax cut... (R.E.)
Fortunately I'm loaded up with oil stocks...

Why do you keep bringing up Reagan? We might as well bring up Nixon and Johnson or Polk.... The man had a cold war to win. Congress went along with tax reform but failed to curb spending. Republican Pres, demo congress...=bad
Clinton has mainly had the opposite. A much better scenario, IMHO.
