Usually 110 in September is better than 105 in July, because of the lower humidity. July in Phoenix is just plain nasty.

Pleasantly cool this morning along the gulf coast, 72 degrees. Of course we are expecting a 5' to 7' foot storm serge (from hurricane Gordon), which is problematic for the folks that live along the coast, and are 3' to 4' above see level.

The winds just shifted to the south. when they shift to the southwest, all hell breaks loose. If Jim is reading, he knows what I mean.

PS We'll probably get more rain today than you get in Arizona in a typical year.
