It has to be extremely difficult to keep engineers/scientists if your stock is valued at 1/4 to 1/10 the competition. [P/S: NT 7.66; JDSU 52.42; GLW 14.10, SDLI 85.02.]

I thought one was supposed to buy low ;)

The same could be said for Lucent's or Alcatel's spinoffs.

Lucent is doing a complete spin-off of their microelectronics unit. Alcatel is doing a tracking stock of their optical components business.
