Over a period of time, YES. Not immediately.

I was in England 2 months ago... noticed a large-ish sports car zip past on the Motorway and only belatedly realized it was... A Mazda Miata. Compared to the teeny tiny cars the brits drive, it looked huge.

I estimated that maybe 1 car in 100 was an SUV and there were essentially no non-business trucks. About half the cars were so small that nothing comparable is even AVAILABLE in the USA. Ever seen a Ford "Ka"? Very cute.

Compare to Silicon Valley... where it's at least 30% SUVs and trucks now, and most of the rest are V6 guzzler sedans.
