On the flip side, I think the retaliation against them would have been much swifter and meaner by Nazis (and we might not even have seen any survivors). Either way that was a tragedy and you are just speculating that they would have been more effective with guns. I could easily argue the other way round. The Nazis spared some because they did not resist? Talk about speculation! We could just ask the Jews what they believe but it's so obvious....they're armed to the teeth and I doubt they will accept your argument no matter how easily you imagine it can be made.
