Christ, Hank, do you ever read anything that I write?

I stated VERY clearly that you have made a paper profit if you are holding stock with a basis $20 lower than today's price. I also stated that your net worth is increased by the fact that you can sell your asset for around that $20 increase in price.

What I have said repeatedly, and you have ignored repeatedly, is that you don't actually MAKE a profit until you sell. The IRS does not care about your paper gain. You can margin most of that gain, since CNXT is a relatively solid company and not on the "no margin" lists.

The fact remains though, you have not made a profit. If an event as exciting in the other direction happens on Monday morning and CNXT drops to a bid of $20, you can whistle to the wind for your $50, unless you sell in time.
