Neat turn of phrase.

I am always looking to learn something, and was intrigued by some of the discussion when I ran across this board a couple of weeks back. I especially like to "argue" with those who disagree with me - greater chance I might learn something I don't know, and makes me think. When it degenerates to racial diatribes, though ...

Flight of the undecideds.

New thread try II

My take on the disappearance of Buchanan and Nader from the polling radar would suggest bad news for Bush. While the media do hype increasing voter apathy, that Buchanan and Nader are low-singles says that everyone who is paying attention to the race is taking the race *very* seriously. Rather than casting protest votes in favor of their favorite, but sure-to-lose candidates, they have decided to cast their vote in favor of one or the other of majors. The flight of the undecideds, if you will, and that flock now flies with the Gore camp.

Gore taking electoral lead but barely..."For now, the vice president appears safe in 10 states, with 142 electoral
votes, including California, New York and now Connecticut. Eight
others, with 97 electoral votes, are leaning his way, with such additions

If all those states stayed in Mr. Gore's column, he would have 239
electoral votes, and to win he would need to find 31 others from 10
tossup states with 98 electoral votes.

Governor Bush holds commanding leads in 17 states, but only 3 of them,
Indiana, Texas and Virginia, have more than 10 electoral votes. The 17
have a total of 132 votes. Six more states, with 69 electoral votes, lean
his way, though the margins in some, like Ohio and Colorado, have.".....http://www.nytimes.com/2000/09/17/politics/17ELEC.html
