I'm not sure if there is any way to stop this mail. It's probably from mailing lists. I get mailings that have customers who moved 10 years ago.

On first class mail you could write 'deceased' and set it out for the carrier.

If they have business reply envelopes or cards, attach those to a brick and drop in the mailbox with a request to remove this address from their mailing list if they don't want you to keep sending them bricks.

Haven't ever had to try it, but read the suggestion somewhere and liked it. Am keeping it in mind for if I ever need it.
