haqi is personally responsible for American crimes to exactly the same extent that Murali is responsible for Indian crimes --- i.e. not at all. No one knows if Murali is a member of extremely reactionary Hindu nationalist groups who sometimes violently attack the lower castes in some parts of India --- but I would bet my life that he is not. As far as Indian official acceptance of caste oppression goes, it doesn't. Affirmative action on behalf of scheduled casts is a problem in itself.
