Angler:

I am not comfortable with the current market because it lacks direction, rotates frequently, and too volatile. However I see some positives in the market.

Of all stocks above $5, 1259 stocks are in the top 15% of 52 week range, 938 stocks in the bottom 15% of 52 week range. The ratio of 1259:938 is very good.

Among S$P 500 stocks, 132 stocks are in the top 15% of 52 week range, 105 stocks are in the bottom 15% of 52 week range. The ratio of 132:105 is also very good.

Nasdaq is a different story. Among Nasdaq 100 stocks, only 10 stocks are in top 15% of 52 week range, 24 stocks are in the bottom 15% of 52 week range. Here the ratio is 10:24.

The market is broadening out. The mid-cap stocks are doing better than some of the over-priced big cap stocks.
