I'm not sure of the main profession of most Congressmen.

My point was that "tort reform" is really at bottom an attack on the judgment and rights of ordinary citizens serving as jurors which plays off public attitudes toward the legal profession.

Whatever you think of lawyers, what justification is there for the legislative and rhetorical attack on the decisions of citizen-jurors? Isn't this a clever confusion, which on the surface targets "lawyers", but really takes dead aim at the right of the people to decide civil cases as part of a jury of ordinary citizens?
