Sylvester,

Congratultions. Your post about DDR was quite possibly the most intellectually dishonest post I have ever seen on this thread.

Let's examine this quote:
Adobe premier benchmark
i815+PC133=116; DDR=91; PC133 is 27.5% faster than DDR

The PC133 system was a PIII. The DDR system was an Athlon. PIII runs this benchmark faster than Athlon. Comparing memory types on the same processor, the results show the real story about DRAM:

DDR is 8% faster than PC133.
PC133 is 90% faster than DRDRAM.

Please take this trash somewhere else.

Scumbria

"DDR looks dead"

DDR was never alive. I have said many times that ddr will never make it to the desktop. Which is too bad because it pays a higher royality.

Rambus memory reduced to an option for future versions of Pentium 4, replaced by DDR ...

Sources close to Intel in Japan have told The Register that Foster, the server version of the Pentium 4, and which is expected sometime in the first half of next year, will now support double data rate (DDR) memory, although Rambus memory still remains something of an option for high end workstation platforms.
