My only question is this: Is the 2nd Industrial Revolution supposed to stop because this fellow draws some squiggly lines on a graph? Autumn tech sell off is normal in my mind, its almost an act of Nature similar to the falling of leaves in the Autumn. Also, I don't care what you and Dave say, I ain't giving up my SUV's!!>> ... you're pretty funny Lynn - you 'Brown bear' you, by the way, were you a classmate of Joe Paterno's (uh oh, that was low) - (1) I don't even subscribe to that site, I copied both those URLs from another SI thread (2) the technology revolution will not stop, but this bear market might (I said MIGHT). ... I was just thinking ... I bet that I will be able to buy a slightly used 2001 Ford Expedition (with Michelin tires)for about $20,000 next February ... ..... TOTALLY OFF TOPIC ... but I have to share this ... my wife grew up in New Jersey and her best friend all the way through high school and into college is the wife (for over 30 years) of the subject of the attached article from this week's "Forbes Magazine." She (my wife's friend) is married to this John Peter Galanis, whose 1st son (also featured in the article) was a few months old in 1971 when they took us to dinner at Chaissens (?sp), a very famous and expensive spot in Beverly Hills (closed a year or two ago) ... I haven't seen either of them since, but my wife saw her one more time, just before John's first arrest in the late 70s. For his second conviction (mid-80s I think), for absconding with $400,000,000.00 (yes, over 400 million), he was sentenced to 27 years in federal prison. I think they let him out because they couldn't afford the phone bills <G> (see multi-part article, "The Long Reach of John Peter Galanis")forbes.com
