He's more into the collecting rather than the shooting although he will buy small lots of ammo and shoot them a little. I'd want some pretty light loads for a gun 120 years old. Most of the guns have grown some extra head space. He's got a 43 caliber something he hasn't found ammo for. I couldn't believe what some of the prices are on those old guns. They really have jumped in the last ten years.

In the case of the .454 it came ported. He says instead of jumping it comes straight back and does so even with a two handed grip. The hammer has nailed him even with the porting. He's 6'2" and about 250. The kind of a guy who thinks a day splitting wood is relaxing.
