Jim, I think that many of the planned IPO may be delayed. If they are not, it will be because the market is overheating again, and that might make the next "awakening" even worst. The IPO craze was made possible due to excess liquidity, i think that by the end of the year, this excess will be moderated.

I believe that the current "heavy calendar" has short term bullish implications in that the "professional houses", those bringing the IPO's out, realize that they have to go "soft" on selling in the next few months, or else their IPO's will not take off. You just do not get any IPO premiums if the general markets are excessively weak. Some of the big houses make more money from underwriting premiums than from commissions.

Jim, this news release indicates that IPO's this September are running far below last year IPO rate.
