Dear davidd: Yes, it is LIQUIDITY or lack thereof which generally chokes off the good times not interest rates. I admit, I believe much of the 1999 runup of stock prices was attributable to the increase in the money supply which the FED instituted partially because of the Y2k fears. I have heard it is being restricted somewhat now, but nothing like what has chopped off other recoveries. JDN
