eDispatch opts for IBM as technology provider eDispatch.com Wireless Data Inc EWD Shares issued 28,061,324 Sep 13 close $9.75 Thu 14 Sept 2000 Mr. Brian Ellis reports eDispatch.com Wireless Data has enhanced its ability to quickly and reliably roll out its services to customers by selecting IBM Canada Ltd. as its technology provider. eDispatch has standardized on IBM's Netfinity servers and undertaken a relationship with the industry's e-business leader to ensure that eDispatch's needs for rapid scalability in hardware capacity can be met on a continuing basis. The eDispatch solution encompasses Netfinity servers ranging from the 4500R up to the 8500R. The Netfinity server family delivers extreme uptime, superior performance and scalability. "Working with IBM will allow eDispatch to advance our go-to-market strategy, quickly and reliably," said Brian Ellis, president and chief executive officer, eDispatch. "As we globally expand our operations with wireless carriers, we will need to ensure that we consistently roll out our solutions in a seamless fashion and scale up our operations as quickly as possible to meet market demand." The relationship will be brought into play immediately as eDispatch continues to expand its operations with its commercially licensed customers, Nextel and SouthernLINC.
