TWY, What was equally surprising was that they were receiving only about 40 1GHz parts a week even as late as three weeks ago. I don't know if that is fact but that's what the salesman claimed. I think the situation may be the same at Compaq. The only way you can get a 1 GHz Piii is by going through a custom build. None of their pre-built models have 1 GHz Piii as far as I can tell. BTW, 1.1 GHz Tbird has the same status. The only way you can get it from Compaq is if you custom configure it for yourself using their site. Joe
